Carrie was cruelly abandoned in a layby with her two sisters. However, despite her dreadful start in life, she is a sweet girl with a wonderful nature.
Carrie was initially quite nervous of new people but her confidence has grown immensely during her time at the shelter. She now understands that people have lots of love, tummy rubs, and treats to offer! She adores being around other dogs and comes alive on pack walks, taking huge confidence from her canine companions. As such, she would love a doggy sibling in her new home to help build her confidence and show her the way!
Carrie is a very clever dog who loves lead training and now walks perfectly on the lead. She also sits for treats and comes when asked!
Carrie’s estimated date of birth is March 31st 2021. As of September 2021, she was 50cm in height and weighed 12kg. We expect that she will be a large dog when fully grown. Carrie needs an adult-only home or a home with dog-experienced older children. She would love to live with another dog. Due to Carrie’s timid nature, she is not suited to a home in an urban environment.
Carrie has not had any socialisation with cats. We will consider homes with cats on a case-by-case basis.
Carrie has been overlooked for so long. She is a smart, loyal girl who will make a wonderful companion.
