My story

Dara came into our care on the very same day that Bulgaria's Darina 'Dara' Yotova won the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest with her song 'Bangaranga', so it seemed only fitting that this special lady should share her name!

Dara was abandoned in our village, but despite her sad start, she has remained an incredibly sweet, happy, and trusting dog. She is intelligent, affectionate, and genuinely enjoys being around people. To put it simply, she's a truly fantastic girl!

She recently visited Dryanovo town and was unbothered by the busy streets, people, and traffic, showing just how adaptable and confident she is. Due to this, we believe she could happily live in either an urban or semi-urban home environment.

Dara is a clever girl who learns quickly. She picked up lead walking in no time, travels well in the car, and settles calmly in a crate. She is sociable, eager to please, and a joy to be around!

She has spent time with young children and has been gentle and well-mannered around them. We believe Dara could happily live with children aged four years and over. She is good with other dogs and could live with a canine companion. Dara has also shown herself to be comfortable around cats; however, we will consider homes with resident cats on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the individual cat's temperament and experience of living with dogs.
