My story

Peter, otherwise known as Peter No Tail thanks to his delightful little stump, had a pretty miserable start in life. He was found abandoned beside a bin, infested with fleas, suffering from mange, and with barely any fur left. Thankfully, he was taken into foster care with our team member, Pauline, where he has gone from strength to strength. His fur is growing back beautifully, and he is now a typical playful, healthy puppy!

Peter is an incredibly happy, affectionate little lad who loves people! He is a real cuddle bug and is happiest when he is getting plenty of fuss and attention from his humans, although, like any young puppy, he also loves to play, explore, and get up to a little mischief!

Having spent time in foster care, Peter is already used to living in a home environment and, as a result of this, is house trained. However, he is still a young puppy and is learning all the other important life skills. His lead walking, basic commands, and general training are still a work in progress, so he will need a family who are happy to continue teaching him and helping him grow into a confident, well-rounded adult dog.

Peter is currently living with a small gang of cats and is very comfortable around them. He does, however, enjoy trying to convince his feline friends to play with him, so any resident cat in his new home would need to be confident, dog-savvy, and happy to put up with a playful puppy!

He gets on well with other dogs and could happily share his home with a friendly canine companion. Peter could also live with sensible young children who understand that puppies need patience, guidance, and plenty of rest.

After such a difficult beginning, Peter is now making up for lost time and enjoying everything puppy life has to offer. All he needs now is a loving family of his own!
